Thanks for the info. The issue has to do with the i915 driver and that
specific LG display.

It is a 1366x768 panel.

Oh also if you put the latest Maverick on a usb stick .. once the usb
stick has been created .. you have to edit syslinux/syslinux.cfg and
remove "ui" from the lbeginning of the last line.

I am owner of a Lenovo U160 i5 U520 and, of course, also affected of this
annoying issue. I have been spending many days and nights without finding a
good configuration making the display work...
In your first posting, you wrote about an i5 U520: have you got any
information, if the
