I know about apt-get dist-upgrade, but I didn't know where to get daily
CD images. I downloaded the powerpc alternate install CD on Oct. 10 and
am installing from it now - booting the "install-powerpc64" target
worked without a hitch.

Jon everytime you upgrade your packages "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade or
sudo apt-get upgrade" you are than getting the upgrades from knot3 to
newest. Here is the latest ISO for edgy

Finally, let me add that while I was unable to perform an integrity
check on the burned CD, I did check the md5sum on the ISO that I
downloaded.
