Ok. As discussed on IRC, let's just make sure that it times out during
the fsck and then relaunch usplash if it exited.

Scott - what do you mean? The TEXT URGENT command will continue to
output text even if usplash isn't in verbose mode. I don't really see
how this is a usplash issue - it's something that needs fixing in the
init scripts.
