I had the same issue, but today I realized this: [...] Application Name: 'Rhythmbox'; Class: 'Rhythmbox'; [...] As you can see, the application name starts with a capital letter. So I modified my rhythmbox.ds like this: (if (is (application_name) "Rhythmbox") (set_workspace 3) ) and it work

I forgot to mention that by looking at the workspace switcher in my panel, it seems that rhythmbox does indeed appear on workspace 3 for a split second, but then is moved to the current workspace. Also, I just saw that if I open the preferences window, rhythmbox is then moved to workspace 3. Perhap
