I did not notice before, but kpdf is removed from Ubuntu and replaced by
okular since Hardy. Hardy Heron (Desktop) reached EOL on May 12, 2011.

The problem related to the window size is still present in Kubuntu 8.04
(KPDF 0.5.9, KDE 3.5.9).
"kpdf" package version is 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1. I do not have "kdegraphics"
installed.
