Attached is an apport.log from my system. Some of those are legitimate
crashes -- namely, when I was switching themes GNOME blew up on me.
But the gaim and xchat entries are all erroneous -- they've never
crashed or unexpectedly closed on me; but I do log out with them active.

This does not happen usually. apport is not called if a program
terminates normally or due to SIGTERM/SIGKILL. A crash report is only
generated if the process actually 'crashes', i. e. terminates in an
unclean way (segmentation violation, etc.). Can you please file bugs
against the affected program
