I'm afraid that doesn't work.
I installed timidity:
sudo apt-get install timidity
but neither Amarok or the Midi test in Systemsettings works.

There is not anything in the official repositories that has the name
TiMidity++
Only timidity, but I assumed that was what you meant.

TiMidity++ is required to play MIDI files, you can install this if you
want to play MIDI files.
