Also, nobody else seems to be having this problem, that I can find, I

The problem seems to have gone away of its own volition (it wasn't even
soon after i did an upgrade, I just thought I'd try again), so I'm
closing this bug. Interestingly, sudo nvidia-glx-config enable did
nothing, telling me that the nvidia driver couldn't be found, but

ctrl+alt+del doesn't reboot for me. Should it? I use Kubuntu and it just
enters the screen which asks me if I want to shut down, go into standby,
etc.

Kernel panic attached. Nvidia module is involved, and the panic happens
during boot, perhaps at Xorg start, I don't know. I can provide the
entire kernel log if necessary.
I still have a blank screen, no cursor. I am able to connect to the

I am experiencing this same problem. I am re-installing usplash now (I
removed it in an attempt to make things work/get a better view of the

What I experience when I've configured xorg to use the nvidia driver is
that my display goes blank. I am unable to switch to any other virtual

night when I was just about to go to sleep ;). I have all those packages
installed and the latest version of usplash. I didn't install the linux-
restricted modules manually though, maybe that was the problem.

X doesn't work if it is installed at all. It is a fully updated version
of edgy. I have no idea what was actually broken, but after installing
nvidia-glx it stopped working. I figured out how to get the tty shells
working though, if I hit the esc key it started working for some reason.
Very odd. Ha

where X should work) just has a blinking cursor. I do have X. The system
