This sounds like debian bug 374026, which is fixed in xserver 1.3
although in that case the user wasn't able to use ctrl-alt-backspace.
xserver 1.3 is now in Gutsy, so please test and verify the fix works for
you. If not, please reopen and we'll dig into it further.

Sometimes my keyboard stop working and the only think I can do is to restart X
server.

It hasn't disappeared- I experienced this bug on upgrade from dapper to
edgy (using aptitude). Also, any attempt to restart X or log out caused
the system to crash with the only way out being a reboot. The bug occurs
straight after log in, on both Kubuntu and Xubuntu.

What Ubuntu version do you use?
If it's Edgy can you retry after upgrading. There's a change in Metacity which
could fix it.
If it still there look at Xorg.conf man page for :
Option "AllowDeactivateGrabs"
and
Option "AllowClosedownGrabs" "boolean"
