Delete this. a reinstall fixed 2,3,4 and 14 of the problems above. Im
now surviving. And i can now change avatar which is this bug so i figure
that deleting this bug from the system would be an option.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fix
I can reproduce it many times.
Is it possible my ubuntu installation got completely corrupted because i
have issues with.
1. graphic (no 3d, program closesinstantly when i get to the 3d part)
2. Empathy (screen name, some contactsare offline while they are talking to me)
3. Gwibber (i only have U
I tried to reproduce your issue but I couldn't.
After changing my alias and avatar, they are updated for my user.
