please try the proposed version in maverick (gwibber 2.32.2) you have to
enable maverick-proposed repository from software sources

messages when I logged off yesterday.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Gwibber, recreated the account, but the problem
persists, no update.
I have also a Facebook account that is working fine.

@Sam, you are right and we-you-they are working on it, but right now are
occurring different issues (for @nathan at least), as I said before
check last posted url because is this issue that you are facing.

This issue initially appeared on my wife's laptop, running Ubuntu 10.04
and I dismissed the issue as PICNIC (problem in chair/not in computer).

it gives me the refresh icon like its trying to load but never does. and
the loading icon just keeps spinning?!?!?!?! WTF??? do i need to switch
