The solution is to manually edit xorg.conf after installation of nVidia
driver.
adding line under Section "Screen"
Option "UseDisplayDevice" "DFP"
and
Subsection "Display" Modes "1360x768"

The black screen issue still remains when activating NVIDIA driver. OS
installs without issue using default NV driver.
Unlike some other posts
