I have tried to reproduce the bug with and without the -v option, but I'm not
able to see the bug behavior. I will watch the behavior and inform you when I
have a verbose log.
Maybe the bug is associated with the behavior that me-tv starts twice at kde
startup (I have to kill the second instance

Seeing as how you are claiming that this is a longstanding issue then
I'm going to assume that it's in upstream's latest still. Hence, I've
attached the upstream project. I've certainly done nothing to address
it.
