Is this still happening? Can you try to rename your grub.cfg and see if you quickly get to the grub rescue shell? Then manually source the renamed cfg and see if the delay is there? You might also try set debug=all first for much more verbose output. ** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu) Status
