Confirmed on Ubuntu 13.04. Kwallet doesen't work on gnome or unity, works on
lxde.
Also the workaraund doesen't work now.
An I find also problems on xml data export !

Using Ubuntu 12.04, even when I use: "kwalletmanager --show", the
programme won't open. I get QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection
created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave. as well.
"kcmshell4 kwalletconfig" will bring up KDE Wallet Configuration is this
the same as kwallet
I used 64bit 12.10, then 3 days ago my system updated to 13.04. I am
*now* affected by this bug.

People store their valuable keys in some application.
The application storing their keys stops working.
People loose access to their keys.
No sign to be seen that the makers of the app would care.

The issue seems to be related to the system tray. I actually managed to
make X crash by fiddling with the ''Show manager in system tray''
setting of kwallet.

same symptoms here, starting with --show displays kwalletmanager (thanks
anton!), no tray icon either. Sucks.

Starting kwalletmanager via console typing "kwalletmanager --show" makes
it at least usable. No tray icon, however. So closing the window makes
it unusable again, such that one has to kill and start it using the
console again.

Affected too. IMHO it is a serious issue. Until there is a solution or
workaround, my kwallet content is effectively gone.
I had kwalletmanager installed and working in Ubuntu 9.10
After upgrade, it stopped working. I used it recently before upgrade
making it very likely that it was related to a
