** Description changed:
The new installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my Eee PC 900A switch WLAN and LAN
on/off by pressing the WIFI hotkey.
But this hotkey should only turn the WLAN on/off, not the normal LAN.
This problem was not pressed in the old Ubuntu 9.10 .

Could you please attach the logs in /var/log/syslog when you have the
system running, and when you press the Fn-F2 hotkey? NM deals with
killswitch events it gets from udev, but I can't find a clear reason for
it to disable eth1 (looks like it really checks whether the device is
wireless or not).
udev doesn't do anything with the killswitch; that's network-manager.

Wifi hotkey turns on/off WLAN and LAN
https://bugs.launchpad.net
I just upgraded my Eee 900A from 9.10 to 10.04 LTS, going from kernel
2.6.31-22 to 2.6.32-22 and LAN was gone.
Booting the upgraded system with the old kernel or pressing Fn+F2 fixes
the problem, (but I want Wifi and Bluetooth disabled, so the later
option is bad).
