Moonlight (libmoon) is known to not be very compatible with Firefox on Lucid (bug 538796). Can you make sure libmoon is removed from your system (at least temporarily to test this) and see if it resolves the issue at all? Ok, i tryed to write firefox -ProfileManager in the terminal and create a new user, but i still experienced some troubles... In fact, after i created the "testUser" i selected it and i clicked on "start firefox". Good, it runs. Then i pressed: "Tools->Add-ons" to see if italian language pack was

That's a possibility. In order to make sure it is not due to the language pack conflicting with any other extensions you have installed, would you mind testing this on a new profile that has just the language pack installed?
