Yes, we're ahead of upstream on this one. I spoke with yarly on IRC and
it turned out his issue was that the partition he was trying to
manipulate was mounted at the time. Closing this bug.

The version of parted included with Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx does include
similar patches to restore the BLKPG capability which enables editing
partitions on a device that has other partitions mounted, or active LVM
partitions.
