Rytis, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

I get crashes too with oneiric and KDE, especially when launching
Firefox after logout and login as an other user.

This bug also affects 11.10 (Oneiric). Specifically, I get crashes
randomly during OpenGL screen savers, when Firefox is opened after a
manual logout from KDE (I am running Kubuntu), and occasionally at other
times. When this happens, my compositing is disabled automatically, and

My crashes described in #9 no longer happen with Ubuntu 10.10. Seemed to
be a bug in the Intel xorg driver.

I think I found what does it on my machine.
I did a fresh install and rather than my usual mods I only installed the
kubuntu restricted extras package and firefox. I'd normally switch the
network manager with wicd but I left this out. One other package I had
before was Skype Beta 2.1.0.81-1 whic
I dont think mine is a duplicate either as I dont thimk firefox is running
every time.
I went through a stage of thinking it was processor heat/overheating
graphics or similar, but it happened a couple of times quite quickly after
initital startup.

You are right, the Intel driver uses UXA and the 539772 was caused by a
null pointer in EXA code.

I don't think it is a duplicate. I've never had the crash occur while
browsing (though firefox is always open) and don't see a firefox core
dump or anything like that. I have intel hardware, not ATI. However, I
also cannot find a specific trigger, and it does look like it may be
caused by erroneous

I have got KDE installed now (thanks to umbrello). But when I had this problem
for the first time I hadn't.
It seems my problem is diffrent from yours though, since I see in the logs that
the wrong password has been entered on TTY2. That made my X-server reset or
something.

I completely failed to look at kdm.log, there seems to be useful

I'm getting a similar error in an upgraded kubuntu (from 9.10 to 10.04)
