Its working now, there was a typo on the latter filename that I didnt
spot at first.

I have the very same problem, and for me deleting those 2 files do not
make any difference. :(

This sounds like your /var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin and/or pkgsrccache.bin
has been corrupted. Could you please try to delte those and see if that
fixes the segfault?
