Thanks for those links, it was worth raising this bug to get a reference
to that article. I understand the work being done and I approve of what
you'll be trying to achieve.
I see that the system is a work in progress and it is perhaps a little
bit of a shame that the full notification area change

to have each icon for each app is the think the messaging menu was designed to
avoid and its doing its job very well. its something different from the old
