Removing transmission-daemon breaks dpkg

FIXED!
Steps followed
1. Removed all lines from /var/lib/dpkg/statoverride that mentions the
user debian-transmission (don't keep any blank lines in the file).
2. Fix broken packages using Synaptic package Manager.
3. Fresh upgrade by mounting iso as cdrom (Initial way).
4. The issue resolved(

Seems removal of transmission-daemon has broken up the config.

The partial upgrade attempted through update-manager (over internet) also
fails. Tried to "Fix" broken packages in Synaptic. I am getting the following
error.
/usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:85: Murrine configuration option

Thanks Michael. Seems you got it right.What does that mean? Do I need to
remove transmission-daemon package.Even though i use transmission GUI
often , Never used daemon.Is this something suspicious.please advice.
Currently I am doing partial upgrade through Internet.In getting new
packages phase.

If I'm not wrong, the error occurred because the system could not find the
Lucid cdrom.
Have you upgraded in this way before? Can you try burning it and then trying to
upgrade?

The iso came through torrent.
The upgrade was done by mounting iso as cdrom
and then gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade".
