OK, I think I see where the problem could be with this bug.
With older CUPS, CONTENT_TYPE is "application/vnd.cups-raw", and with
newer it's "application/vnd.cups-postscript".
CUPS 1.2.2 is doing coversion on client side, which it shouldn't.

The foomatic-bin tip dosn't work.
The printer jump in, but i get a strange output:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] SET PAGEPROTECT=Auto
@PJL SET MANUALFEED=OFF
@PJL SET ECONOMODE=OFF
I have attached the error_log from the debian sarge system with
foomatic-bin and the latest ubuntu cupsys.

This "Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden" should be "File or
directory not found"? Could you check if there is such file on server
(/usr/lib/cups
