Oh, I see. Yes, I use thuinderbird 3.0.4 from repository and lightning extension 0.9 from repository also. I installed lightning 1.0b from contribs from mozilla's ftp site: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/1.0b1rc1/contrib/linux-x86_64/ It works. So, I think

Hello Ben, May I ask what version of Thunderbird you are using? If I'm not mistaken, if you are using Thunderbird 3.0 then you will need Lightning 1.0. The problem is that Mozilla is not officially supporting Lightning on 64-bit Linux operating systems at this time. Also, the package in Ubuntu is
