I can confirm that as kees says, this is no longer reproducable in 0.44
in Edgy.
The behaviour is still odd in a way, in terms of consistency. If you
hide it, then unhide it, the hide/unhide actions are not on the undo
stack. If you just hide, then undo, you will undo the hide. If you hide,
modify
