Just tried with Kubuntu 6.06.1 image and gfxboot-theme-ubuntu 0.1.27,
and it worked OK. Apparently gfxboot 0.1.27 is incompatiblee with CD
image of version 6.06.

This seems a bug in gfxboot-theme-ubuntu, I have reported it as bug
#56520.
Apparently I could have linked the bug here, I still do not understand
how Launchpad works :/
