On a fresh install of Lucid Lynx, DVD's are mounted (as
/media/something) but don't show up on the desktop. Files are accessible
to root only.

Similar thing is happening to me in 10.04 Beta 1 starting tonight. I had
a CD in the drive, ripped it no problem. Ejected the CD, put in another
and it was not detected. I can still see my drive listed in Computer as
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50, but even after restarting several times it
will not moun
