Hi, tom
The post Remon mentioned is here:
http://traverso-daw.org/forum/index.php/topic,212.0.html
It's for karmic, but things shouldn't have changed very much. From the tips
there, and browsing packages in synaptic, you may reasonably guess the new
name of a package if any has been renamed in
Is this getting fixed for Ubuntu?
I will give compiling a go but i am a not sure i will manage it
thanks tom

Hi,
Yes, should have checked the patch first :)
Uploaded one that fixes the 'freeze' when Traverso starts.
The easiest way to get Traverso working again for you is to kindly ask
the maintainer of Traverso to apply the patch to the debian package, and
push it to the bugfixes thingie so you can do
I can't get the patch to apply here is the error.

hi remon
sorry i am a newbie (admittedly of 7 years of linux) but how do i apply this
code (all of it?) to what? compile??
do i open a file - sudo gedit
i paste this code in - at the bottom?
compile? i dare say i can find out what that means.
ok looked up compile - that looks hard.
which is a
apply it to the 0.49.1 source code, compile and be happy ;-)
In the ideal world this would have been fixed long time ago, but it
appears that maintenance of the Traverso package in Debian and derived
distributions is basically non-existent.

This bug has been fixed in git some time ago, attaching the patch that
should fix this problem.
The Traverso git version is coming along nicely, perhaps better to
package the next release of Traverso which won't take too long hopefully
and push that to backports?
