Note: for me vlc plays the certain dvd's without problems, its only
lsdvd giving the same "Zero check failed" as mentioned in this report.
(for some dvd's, not all, although they are really all genuine "Sony
Pictures" dvd's)

I think that I am also effected by this bug. I get the same following
error messages when trying to play a dvd in both totem and vlc:
libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 1 (VTS_01_0.IFO).
