Built the package from Debian testing locally with this patch, installed
gnucash, and did some very basic sanity testing. (Opened it, ran through
the wizard, added an account, and added a couple of transactions)

The lucid packages indicate that slib is not available. See
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hu/lucid/devel/guile-1.6-slib.
A work-around was to install the karmic version from
http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/slib. Then, gnucash installs OK.
