I think I may have found the problem. I'm using a 64-bit installation, and when I installed flash through the Ubuntu Software Center, it installed the 32-bit version with npviewer.bin. I uninstalled it and switched to the 64-bit .so available from adobe's website, and I haven't had this problem si

Forgot to mention, I tried enabling the Nvidia restricted drivers (thought it might be ready in Beta 2), and thats when this all seemed to start happening. On another computer with Nvidia installed on 9.10 I had similar lockups. I've removed the (attempt) to install Nvidia drivers and gone back to

I'm using the 32 bit beta, and the same thing seems to be happening to me. Very random. I have tried ctrl-alt-F2 to jump out, alt-f1,(mouse might be able to still move around) and even alt-sysrq+ REISUB (mouse is locked also afterwards) with no effect.
