I am running the version above. The bug has not occurred again for some
time now, maybe an update has sorted the problem. I have noticed Gwibber
has been much more stable.
Tried the above commands, but it said I could not remove them since they
were directories.

Have you tried to run a rm ~/.cache/desktop-couch ~/.config/desktop-
couch and ~/.local/share/desktop-couch and then start gwibber again
(running latest version of gwibber 2.30.0.1)?, Thanks!
