I had the same error.
However, i still can use other terminal ( tty ) to log on as command
line, then reboot. ( make sure i got power point plug-in, then no
problem)
I did try to remove the xorg and reinstall again, but still the same.
Same Notebook, HP dx1000, Nvidea Gforce Go 6150.

At the time of filing I did have the latest updates. The problem seems
