Similar thing is happening to me in 10.04 Beta 1 32 bit starting
tonight. I had a CD in the drive, ripped it no problem. Ejected the CD,
put in another and it was not detected. I can still see my drive listed
in Computer as HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50, but even after restarting
several times it will n
