The choppiness is directly related to the appearance of the tooltips
that indicate row and column numbers as you scroll through a
spreadsheet. If you disable the tooltips (Tools -> Options -> General
-> Tips), then scrolling is smooth. Are you able to reproduce this
using the stock OOo version in
I do not see any choppiness with upstream 3.2.1, are there certain
elements which are choppy for you? I too am running the nvidia driver.

Yes, it's still present in Kubuntu Lucid final (as of 5-22 with all
updates). I just have to open a blank OOo spreadsheet and scroll around
and it happens.
