This bug is still present in Ubuntu 10.10 and in both Firefox 3.6.15
(from Ubuntu repos) and Firefox 4 rc2 (Mizilla build).

I can confirm this on my Lucid machine as well. It seems that the
buttons created when Firefox is in fullscreen may be independent of
metacity, which is what causes the buttons to be on the left normally.
Whether or not this is something that can be "fixed," I'm not sure. The
