The translation comes from the .destkop file in the session. I agree
that it's a little bit large, but we are past string freeze and don't
think we can have it as a delta with upstream, and as we want to avoid
tooltip… not really sure what can be done here.
(it's even worse in French ;)).

Didier - Tested on my UNE system and it's fixed :)
The "Select" text is quite long so the Login Screen Settings menu leaves
about 1 inch on either side of my 9 inch Dell mini. Any chance to
shorten some of the descriptive text for each dropdown option? I don't
know if there are standards for these

It seems that my changes about default session has been lost in
2.29.92-0ubuntu5 merge. I've just uploaded 2.29.92-0ubuntu7 which should
push back the needed bits.
Can you confirm it's fixed? (tested and it works for me)
