The installer still doesn't recognize the characters and two squares are
displayed for each character typed.

Ubiquity crashed on me and afterwards, when I started it again the test symbols
box worked fine.
It does not work the first time you use it though.

It does not work in the beta either. This time there is 2 square boxes for each
of the chars I type.
It is possible to copy text with the chars into the field but not to type it
yourself.
BTW I noticed that kde now has autodetection of my keyboard. That is
cool! Couldn't ubuquity do something li
I've supplied the info a while ago. therefore changing status.
And I think this has at least a medium priority.

I just tried with knot 3 from:

And it still does whitespaces (2 whitespaces for each character I type)

completely replaced the keyboard handling ...
