Yes re-authing U1 does work, but I'm having trouble actually getting U1
to sync at all with my computer, but I'll hunt for another bug report on
this.

Anthony: agreed entirely (that's why it says "fixme"). I'm trying to
work out what causes the problem and what the best way of resolving it
is; once that's done, that temporary message will be updated to do the
right thing. Thanks!

It is true, re-authenticating to Ubuntu One does workaround this
problem, but perhaps something could be said to give the user more
information rather than "FIXME...etc, etc"

I also got this.
I did not have Ubuntu One. I went through the registration. I then decided I
wanted to rename my computer, so I removed it.
It does not prompt me to connect again.

I agree - this seems linked to not being logged into Ubuntu One. I have
an issue where my system currently cannot sign into Ubuntu One. Going to
the Ubuntu One Preferences shows I am not logged in (see attached screen
shot).
