vlc is a very complex piece of software that uses different software
libraries depending on the input file. So at minmum, we need to know:
- does this happen for you with every file?
- what kind of files are causing this?
- is the used library limited?
for most of these questions, an example file
I noticed this happens when I preview a video while I am downloading it
through Frostwire.
