I tried again with the daily build from yesterday
(b9c7c638b8002ca0817354f95da3940a *lucid-desktop-i386.iso 04-Apr-2010
08:15 696M) at my svorak keyboard, and a swedish qwerty keyboard.
And it seems to be fixed.

Sorry but I can´t reproduce this, I´ve tried with my Spanish keyboard,
also I´ve tried updating and not updating ubiquity. I´m using the Ubuntu
Lucid iso (3/28/2010)

live/current/ because I think that something similar was fixed.

This seems to be the same problem I face - in Bug 544105.
With me, it does not work correctly with guessing and setting Swiss Keyboards.
Seems to be a problem that the detected setting is not correctly 'saved'
after the detection.
