But if you need to see the problem of "Banco do Brasil", using OpenJDK,
reproduce the next steps:

I want to second this request for keeping Sun-Java in the list of supported
packages.
Besides being Brazilian and subject to the issues already posted by my fellow
countrymen here, as a developer I, as well as a the large majority of
developers around the world, take advantage of development IDE

I may not be as passionate as my brazillians brothers in the above
comments, but I totally agree that this is a bad idea. First, there are
several cases where OpenJDK doesn't work completely. The most important
is the case of Banco do Brasil. Ok, the right thing to do would be run
the applet with O
Unless we can find another repo that comes to provide these packages, is
not a good idea to remove them from the oficial supported packages list.
Though Oracle has a comercial company profile, I think that Java won't
become a proprietary software. So in the best way of the ubuntu spirit,

I think the removal of the package is a step back. Will cause troubles
due to malfunction (or total incampatibilidade) of OpenJDK with various
programs.

While it is obviously better in our context to stimulate the users to
use free software, I too live in Brazil and depend on this package to
access my bank website and I think that it would be a barrier to the
entry of new users in Brazil (and maybe other countries too) to remove
this package from t
