I suffer from the same bug. Works on Debian 4, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS loses the
edges, works again on Ubuntu 10.10. It would be very much appreciated to get
GraphViz 2.26 in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

I'm getting lost edges quite frequently (seems to be related to edges
not used in ranking ([constraint=false]). Considering that lucid is a
LTS release, it would be nice to see this fixed also in lucid, not only
in future releases.

I am able to replicate this bug:
:~/dot_test$ dot -V
dot - Graphviz version 2.20.2 (Wed Sep 16 11:12:21 UTC 2009)
:~/dot_test$ dot -T png tPA_plot.dot -o tPA_plot.png
Error: lost c d edge
I can verify that the resulting .png file (uploaded) is missing edge c d
I can work-around this issue by in
** Attachment added: "I have attached a .dot file that triggers a bug in 2.20
but not in newer versions. The command to generate a png file from this .dot
is: It would be helpful to have either
the fix for this bug backported to 2.20 or to have a newer version included."
