In newer strace's, when both -c and -ff are invoked, strace returns the
following error: "strace: -c and -ff are mutually exclusive options".
This is also now documented in the strace(1) manpage with:
-ffIf the -o filename option is in effect, each processes trace
is writte
strace -ff -o food ls
does not emit timing info for me; it does give "umovestr: Input/output error"
