Yes I have the version 2.6.1 Evolution. The same thing happens after i
disable the buttons(send). After that, I click the updates and suddenly
the panels in my desktop disappeared.

Does it also happen if you disable send/recieve on startup? I assume
you have version 2.6.1 of evolution (which is the one shipped with
dapper)?
