simple-scan crashed with SIGSEGV in sane_hpaio_close
This is definitely still an issue in Precise Alpha 1.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Simple Scan. Check that it is set to scan in Photo mode.
2. Start a scan, then shortly after it begins filling in the image hit the
cancel button.
3. Switch the scanning mode to Text.
4. Press the Scan button agai
Please download and install the latest version hplip-3.11.7 from
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html and install it using "sh
hplip-3.11.7.run".

@Jim and anyone using a multi-function HP scanner/printer: are you using
HPLIP Toolbox to configure your device ? If not, please do so and test
again. It's easily installed through the Ubuntu Software Center or via
Synaptic/command-line, the package name is hplip-gui.
I am using several HP printer
