Thanks for the info... I had gotten Ubuntu to install, just figured
that they would want to work out the roadblocks for those less

/dev/hda2, on which you attempted to mount /usr ) seems to be too small
to complete an Ubuntu desktop installation successfully. Bug 48355 notes
