I am trying to assist the development team move this forward for
inclusion in Ubuntu. Can anyone indicate what the blockers are? It would
seem that the software is polished and ready.

How long does it take really, to get into ubuntu's packages list? You we
expected to do something in particular?
BTW, gpgme is not a dependency anymore. We use OpenPGP-SDK now, that is
included in the source tar.gz.

Version 0.5.2 has been released in Aug.18, 2011.
Our ppa is used by approximatively 750 ubuntu users now, according to
statistics.
We would be happy to have fresh news about the ubuntu packaging process,
and to provide any information necessary to make this happen.
