The latest version of the kernel for Dapper is 2.6.15-26 do you still
have these problems with that kernel?

I tried again to boot using that image and I noted the following:
1. The laptop does boot but after few minutes.
2. The delay is during the "Loading essential drivers" stage, I pressed Alt+F1
to see what's going on, and I found this message repeating:
udevplug[994]: make_queue: unable to creat
I suspect that it just needs an extra amount of time to boot. Can you
leave it for 3-5 minutes to see if it finishes booting with -25?
