Akos, yeah print screen likely wouldn't capture the corruption anyway.
Can you take a digital photo of the screen?
If not, please try to describe the corruption you see. Sometimes info
about the corruption's style (long streaky horizontal lines, or blocky
chunks, or "noise", or etc.) can provide

well, I don't see how I could respond to a pop-up on a totally corrupt
screen, especially when the screen is locked, or its about a an error
message of X failing to start - and the error message itself is on a
corrupted screen :(

I tried to run apport-collect, and it opens the browser window after
asking for permissions, but then it hands at a page with saying 'Almost
finished...' - and it never finishes :(
